Planning a visit to Avon Beach? Here's everything you need to know...

Dogs are allowed off leash between the 1st October to the 30th April, at other times dogs should not be allowed onto the beach and must be kept on their leads on the promenade.

There are public toilets situated outside, next to the Lobster Hatch and seating area. The toilets include access to baby changing tables.

There is a disabled toilet next to the other public toilets, if you do not have your own radar key you can borrow one from the staff in the Deli, Shop & Bakery.

The nearest car park is Avon Beach Car Park which is adjacent to the beach with 99 spaces. Additional parking can be found at Avon Run Road Car Park which has 222 spaces, it is a 5-minute walk to the beach via the steps. 

There are 6 accessible parking spaces at the Avon Beach Car Park. This includes beach level entrance to the promenade and the beach through the car park. Our restaurant has a slope that allows disabled access into the main seating area.

Lifeguards will begin patrolling from the 9th July to the 4th September 2022, between 10am and 6pm. The lifeguards can be found in the lifeguard’s huts located on the beach, or when out patrolling in their visible yellow and red uniforms

Avon Beach Ltd provides the area with the Noisy Lobster Restaurant, the Coffee Cabin, the Lobster Hatch, the Deli, Shop & Bakery and 62 Beach Huts for hire. Opening times and menus can be found on The Noisy Lobster website.

Disposable barbecues are only permitted between 6pm and 10:30pm on Avon Beach. Gas barbecues are not permitted at any time. Please extinguish it carefully with water and leave it next to the bins on the promenade for collection by waste disposal teams. Open fires are not allowed on the beach at any time.

You can cycle down the promenade, we ask that cyclists give way to pedestrians who have right of way and be mindful of others when it is busy. If necessary, please dismount and walk when crowded
